Marq Spekt stops by the studio to talk about the Atlanta Hip Hop scene, it’s History and about his work as well as his group Broady Champs’ work. Marq remains an anchoring figure in the Atlanta Hip Hop scene and his works are respected, coveted the world over. Why doesn't the average Atlantan know his name? Do you know Marq Spekt? Get to know him during this episode. ...I'll admit that there was an impromptu verse about Asher Roth called "Kunta Roth" that I lost. Deleted that segment then clicked save after I normalized the volume. Whoops. That was a gem. I feel horrible, but...hey. It's still a great conversation. Senor Kaos has been behind the scenes in Atlanta Music marketing, promotion and as an MC. The Brooklyn native is one of the pillars of the segmented Atlanta Underground Hip Hop scene. One of the few in Atlanta that can move between the different flavors of Hip Hop in Atlanta freely, he's beginning to revive a once promising career by returning to the mic.

I talk with Photographer and New Media Editor Donnie Seals Jr. about his documentary "The Season". What started out as a regular interview about an artist in his field doing the work he loves turns into a conversation about the media industry and it's turmoil during what has been called a Global recession.

He's from Chicago so I tried to play as many Chicago-based tracks as possible.

Also, this interview was done over the internet using Gmail chat. It's my first time attempting this and there were some sound issues with the first interview that I wasn't aware of since I didn't have my monitors on. Editing this was a real chore. Tell me what you think. Feeback: abenghorn@gmail.com
